Fruit Trees 7 cm, 5 pcs

HEKI Fruit Trees 7 cm, 5 pcs

Five finished model trees from the German maker HEKI, seven centimeters tall. Compared with forest species, fruit trees have a shorter trunk and a broader, lower-set crown, because in orchards they are shaped by pruning. Seven centimeters matches an ordinary tree in a garden or an orchard on a layout, and five pieces in one box are enough for a whole row rather than for filling in a single spot.

Use

• orchards and gardens by model farm buildings
• rows of trees along field lanes
• yards and front gardens on a rural layout
• filling in low greenery between taller trees
• greenery between houses and farm buildings
• greenery by outbuildings and barns

How to work with the small trees

The small trees are pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. In an orchard plant them in rows at roughly equal spacing, because regularity is exactly what sets an orchard apart from freely grown vegetation. Keep the heights uneven, though, as even planted trees grow at different rates. Add grass or low growth under the crown. Spread the flattened crown carefully with your fingers after unpacking.

Who the set is for

For builders of rural layouts and dioramas and for modelers fine-tuning the surroundings of buildings. The five pieces can also be split between an orchard and a yard, so that the same species repeats within the scene and the landscape looks consistent. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
