A glue for scatter materials, that is for flock growth, grass scatter and other loose scenic materials. It is applied to the surface and the material is sprinkled into it while the layer is still damp. According to the name it dries colorless, which matters with sparse growth: no dried layer shows between the individual pieces of scatter and the area has no glossy cast. The package holds 200 ml.
The surface has to be clean and free of dust. Spread the glue with a flat brush or a spatula in a continuous layer over only as large an area as you can cover before it starts to dry. Sprinkle the scatter through a sieve or from your fingers from a small height, so that it spreads evenly, and press it down lightly. Once dry, tap the loose pieces off or vacuum them carefully; they can be used again. Denser growth comes from repeating the whole procedure in two or three rounds rather than from one heavy layer. Any thinning, the drying time and cleaning of tools are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Apply the glue sparingly, so that it does not run into places where it does not belong, that is into track, to moving parts or onto the finished paintwork of a model. Leave the edges of the area irregular; a straight edge of growth gives away its artificial origin more than anything else. Clean the brush straight after working; once it has dried that becomes hard going.
For builders of dioramas, layouts and display-case bases who work with scatter and need a glue that will not show once dry. Scatter materials and the surface are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
