Static grass from the wild grasses range in a dark prairie grass shade, fiber length 5 to 6 mm, a 75 g package. The fibers are sprinkled into fresh glue and an electrostatic charge stands them on end. A long blade splays slightly to the sides, so the growth does not look like a mown lawn but like grass nobody has touched for a long time.
The darker tone corresponds to growth in shade, on damper soil and in places where the grass has thickened. Paired with the light variant it lets you work with the color of an area: darker fibers at the foot of a wall, in a ditch and under trees, paler ones in the open where the sun shines. A length of 5 to 6 mm means growth roughly 17 to 21 cm tall in 1:35 scale, approximately 43 to 52 cm in 1:87 scale.
Coat the area with glue for static grass or with thinned PVA glue, stick the grounding pin of the applicator into the glue and let the fibers fall from the mesh. For separate tufts, apply the glue in small islands only along fences, walls and among rubble. Once dry, tap the area out or vacuum it carefully and return the fibers that have not stuck to the bag. Trimming the ends with sharp scissors will give you the irregular height that real growth has.
For builders of dioramas, layouts and gaming boards with tall growth and for figure modelers working on bases. The package holds the fibers alone; the glue, an applicator and a base are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
