A self-adhesive strip with parking spaces in H0 scale from the Heki company, measuring 100 x 6 cm. It will fill out a street, a square and the area in front of a shop.
Responsibility details are not available.
Model towns often stop at the roadway and cars then stand anywhere. Marked parking spaces give a scene order: they show where people park, how many vehicles fit and where there is room left to drive through. The strip is prepared in H0 scale, that is in the most widespread size of layouts.
The strip measures 100 x 6 cm. Six centimeters represents, in 1:87 scale, a strip roughly 5.2 meters wide, that is the depth of an ordinary space including a lane for pulling out. A meter of length covers about 87 meters of real area in the same scale, so it will do for a whole side of a street.
Level the surface, dry it and remove the dust, because unevenness under the strip will be pressed into the surface. First lay the strip in dry and check where the spaces join the roadway. Then uncover the adhesive layer step by step and press down from the middle out to the edges, so that no air stays under the surface. You adjust the length and the cut-outs around curbstones with a sharp knife against a ruler.
The area comes alive as soon as vehicles stand on it, but do not fill every space. An empty place, an oil stain of pigment and a dusty edge by the curb will turn the strip into a parking lot that is in use. Around the curb it also suits to suggest the small mess that is always lying somewhere on a real area.
The package holds the strip with parking spaces. Vehicles, a surface, the paints and the other accessories of scenery are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
