Gray Brick Wall H0/TT (50 x 20 cm)

What it is

A scenic brick wall from Heki in a gray version, with the raised texture of brick masonry. The surface measures 50 x 20 cm and it is intended for the H0 and TT sizes, that is for 1:87 and 1:120 scale. The drawing of the joints is fine at this size, so the wall holds up even in places the viewer looks at from close by.

Field of use

Brick is the typical material of station buildings, warehouses, workshops, perimeter walls and industrial sites. Fifty centimeters of length is enough for a long stretch along a layout or for several shorter surfaces that you cut to suit. The wall also serves well as a base course, as the face of a ramp or as a surface that hides the unsightly edge of a baseboard.

Painting and fitting

• The gray version is a rewarding base: it can be painted up into brick red or left as weathered masonry.
• Lay the scene out dry first, and only then cut the surface to size.
• Run the cut along a joint; a brick cut through in the middle of a surface stays visible.
• Glue it with an adhesive suitable both for the material of the part and for the surface the scene is built on.
• Depth comes to the masonry from a dark glaze in the joints and a dry brush along the edges of the bricks.
• The lower part of the wall takes a darker cast of damp and some creeping greenery, the top a lighter dusting instead.
