The McLaren 720S is a two-seat supercar with the engine mounted in the middle, behind the occupants' backs. The shape of the body is subordinated to airflow: the glazing continues far to the rear, the fenders are cut away into collecting channels and a deployable wing sits above the tail. It is this shape that makes the car a rewarding subject even in a small scale. A car roughly four and a half meters long comes out at seven centimeters in 1:64 scale.
The designation LB-Works refers to a body conversion that widens the fenders, sits the car lower and adds bold aerodynamic equipment. The model therefore does not represent the production shape but a conversion of the kind seen at meets and in tuning collections. The version carries the designation The Boring Concept 2024, which belongs to a particular color and graphic version. In a collection such a car is recognized at first glance, because it differs from the production shape in width and stance, not only in color.
This is a collector's model, not a kit. It is not assembled, glued or painted; once unpacked it goes straight into a display case. The 1:64 scale is rewarding precisely in that a whole collection fits on one shelf; cars side by side also keep the same size, so they can be compared. Protect the model from direct sun, which gradually changes the shade of the paint and of the color graphics, and remove dust from it with a soft brush rather than a cloth, which easily catches on sharp edges and spoilers.
The finished model of the stated version is supplied. What else belongs with it in the package, that is whether a base or a collector's case, is stated by the manufacturer; a display case is not included, unless stated otherwise.
