A set of figures in 1:64 scale, that is in the scale of small collector's car models. An adult figure in it measures just under three centimeters. The designation Heavy Lifters can be read as those who lift heavy things, and the number after the name sets this set apart from an earlier part of the same line. Anyone who already has the first part gains further figures with the second set, without the same figures repeating in the display case.
A car model on its own does not give the viewer scale. A figure standing beside it supplies that at once, and the scene begins to look inhabited. Several figures set out with thought turn a row of models into a scene, because the eye starts looking for what is going on between them. That is exactly what sets a collection apart from a store. The display case then works as a place where something is happening, rather than as a lined-up row of models behind glass.
Try the arrangement out dry before you fix the figures down. Avoid a row facing the viewer; it looks more natural when the figures look at each other or at whatever is meant to be the main thing in the scene. Leave open space between them and do not build them into a tight huddle. Pick them up by the base or by the body, not by thin parts, and wash your hands before handling them, so that no fingerprints are left on the surface. Dust comes off small figures better with a soft brush than with a cloth, which catches on the edges.
