Plastic snap-fit kit of the King Tiger (Henschel turret) in 1:100 scale from Zvezda: the German heavy tank Sd.Kfz.182.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small plastic kit of the German heavy tank King Tiger Ausf.B with the production Henschel turret in 1:100 scale from Zvezda. It is a snap-fit model for tabletop wargames; the parts fit into one another and the basics can be assembled without glue. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact contents of the package, follow the enclosed instructions.
The King Tiger (Tiger II, Sd.Kfz.182) was the heaviest German tank to see production service in the Second World War. It combined steeply sloped frontal armor with the long 88 mm KwK 43 gun, which could destroy opponents at long range. The production Henschel turret replaced the earlier so-called Porsche turret and had a simpler shape with a flat front plate. The tank was feared, but heavy, thirsty and prone to breakdowns.
Snap-fit joints are strengthened with a drop of thin cement for plastic. Because of the small scale, deburr the moldings carefully and sand the parting lines. For the late German scheme, three-color camouflage (dark yellow with green and brown stripes) over a primer works well; on such a small area an airbrush and a careful brush will both do. A dark wash in the corners and dust pigments on the running gear give the model depth.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
