Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the Yamaha RZV500R road motorcycle in 1:12 scale from the Japanese maker Tamiya. The model faithfully captures a two-stroke road machine of the mid-1980s that carried the technology of a racing machine onto the road. The kit offers a detailed engine and running gear, rubber tires, waterslide decals and assembly as well as painting instructions. It is a proven mold that Tamiya releases again and again.
The Yamaha RZV500R was introduced in the 1980s as the road counterpart of the racing YZR500. It was powered by a liquid-cooled two-stroke V4 engine of 500 cc with an output of around 64 hp and a top speed of over 230 km/h. Its light and compact design came straight from Grand Prix technology and delivered performance comparable with larger liter machines.
Assemble and paint the frame and the engine first, and pick the aluminum and chrome items out with metallic shades. Lay a smooth gloss coat on the bodywork, and only then the decals and a clear coat over them. Do not glue the rubber tires with cement for plastic. Dry-fit the intakes, the expansion chambers and the engine before you close the bodywork up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
