This is a resin diorama accessory in 1:120 scale that represents the German one-man splinter protection shelter known as the Splitterschutzzelle or Einmannbunker. It is not a vehicle or airplane kit, but a small scenic element for a diorama. The manufacturer is the Czech brand Hauler.
The Splitterschutzzelle (Einmannbunker) was a cylindrical reinforced concrete shelter for one or two people which, during World War II, protected sentries, machine operators or supervisors at railroad stations, factories and airfields from splinters and light fire. Its typical slender silhouette with a domed top is a characteristic element of period scenes.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Concrete comes into its own with a light gray base, drybrushing and dark washes in the details; pigments for dirtying the lower part suit the finish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin accessory. Glue, paints and the base are not included in the package.
