The Countach is a car that cannot be mistaken for anything else. The kit 1:24 Lamborghini Countach LP500S from the German brand Revell brings it in 1:24 scale, that is at a size where the shaping of the wedge body and the layout of the interior can both be seen. It is an injection-molded plastic kit; the full contents of the package are stated on the box.
The Countach was designed by Marcello Gandini at the Bertone studio, and its sharply cut shape became the template for the idea of a supercar for decades. The LP500 S version followed on from the earlier LP400 in the first half of the 1980s and received a more powerful V12 mounted longitudinally ahead of the rear axle, hence the abbreviation LP in the designation. Unmistakable are the scissor doors, the wide rear fenders and the low front hood with a high-set tail.
With sports cars the gloss is what decides. It is a good idea to level the body with a primer first, to apply the paint in thin coats and to let the final clear coat cure properly before polishing. Lighten the interior with a dry brush so that it does not disappear in the enclosed space, and deal with the chrome parts last so that they do not get rubbed during handling.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
