Injection-molded plastic kit of the British MG Metro 6R4 rally car in its 1986 form from Belkits in 1:24 scale. It is a finely detailed kit that, besides the plastic parts, also contains additional materials: photo-etched parts, quality decals and material for the seat belts. The model faithfully captures the appearance of the car in the Computervision livery. Go by the instructions supplied for the exact contents of the box and the number of paint schemes.
The MG Metro 6R4 was a Group B rally car built on the silhouette of the small Metro, but technically it was a completely separate racing car. It was powered by a naturally aspirated V6 mounted amidships behind the crew and the power went to all four wheels. A short wheelbase, prominent aerodynamic devices and 4x4 drive made it a nimble car in the corners. It was used in the world championship and in national events in the mid-1980s and is one of the icons of the wild Group B era.
Join the body first, fill the gaps and spray it smooth over primer; a gloss finish gives racing paintwork the right look. Finish and paint the interior, the engine and the chassis before you close the body. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue, apply the decals over a gloss base so that they do not silver, and finally unify the surface with a matte or satin coat as needed.
