This is an aftermarket detail set from the Japanese brand Top Studio in 1:12 scale. It is not a model but a set of miniature exhaust system clamps in photo-etched and turned metal. You use them to replace the simplified or missing clamps on a model of a Formula 1 car. Being universal in character, they can also be used on models of rally cars, sports cars, GT cars and motorcycles in the matching scale.
The clamps hold and join the individual parts of the exhaust piping. On finished plastic models they tend to be merely suggested; miniatures in metal give the engine bay a realistic look and fine detail that tells especially on open models.
Clean up the small metal parts, shape them gently if needed and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For painting metal use a primer and a paint suited to metal; the metallic sheen can be brought out with metallic paint.
The detail set does not hold the model itself. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
