A resin detail set in 1:32 scale, not an aircraft kit. It replaces the plastic exhaust nozzles with accurate castings with fine serrations and internal structure, which plastic parts as a rule lack. The type 2 variant matches a particular rendering of the nozzles of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and the related EA-18G.
The Super Hornet is a twin-engine multi-role carrier aircraft of the Navy; the electronic warfare EA-18G version is derived from it. The exhaust nozzles are a prominently visible element at the rear of the fuselage and rendering them faithfully lifts the impression of a finished model considerably.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; sand with your airways protected. Metallic shades and heat tints work well on nozzles: a base of dark metal, then fine layering of steel and burnt shades, and finally light accentuation of the edges with a dry brush.
