A cockpit equipment set for a model of the P-40E/K Warhawk fighter in 1:32 scale, by its name built for the Hasegawa kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The P-40 Warhawk was an American fighter of the Second World War, used in North Africa, in the Pacific and on the Eastern Front. The E and K versions are among the later machines of the series and both served with American and with Allied units, so a wide range of color schemes goes with them. In 1:32 scale the model is large and the cockpit under an open canopy becomes one of the first places a viewer looks.
Cockpit equipment in 1:32 scale. In large scales the cockpit is the most rewarding place to detail: it takes fine relief on the instruments, the levers, the seat and the side walls, which a kit only suggests. The exact extent of the set, that is, which parts of the cockpit it replaces and which it adds, is given on the box.
The name states that the set is intended for the kit marked with the abbreviation HAS, that is, Hasegawa. Fit it dry and in stages, before you glue the fuselage halves together, and glue it permanently only after that test. Cut the excess material and the marks left by manufacture away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder back, then wash and degrease the parts. They are not polystyrene, so cement for plastic models has no effect on them and super glue is needed.
Paint the whole cockpit before gluing the fuselage. Lay the base shade first, then darken the recesses with a glaze and pull the edges up with a dry brush; finish the small instruments and levers with a brush at the end.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
