1:32 Russian MIG-29C Fulcrum is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian tactical fighter from the manufacturer Trumpeter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Trumpeter captures the Russian MiG-29 tactical fighter in the single-seat form designated by the letter C, which the maker of the kit uses for the modernized variant with an enlarged dorsal spine. The large 1:32 scale brings out the shapes of the fuselage, the pair of vertical tails and the well worked-out cockpit.
The MiG-29 came about as a twin-engine tactical fighter intended for the fight for air superiority over the battlefield. It was powered by two RD-33 engines, the fuselage together with the rounded blending into the wing forms a lifting body, and the machine became known for its agility in close combat. The later modernized variant got an enlarged dorsal fairing, which held more fuel and further equipment, and a wider range of armament. In the Russian Air Force the MiG-29s, together with heavier machines, formed the backbone of fighter aviation, and in many countries they serve to this day.
Finish and paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before you close the fuselage. Sand the intake ducts down and even them out with a base color, so that no seams show in the depths. Russian gray schemes look best when you shade them panel by panel after spraying and bring the scribed lines out with a thin wash. A gloss clear coat under the decals keeps bubbles from drying under the film, and a flat clear coat at the end evens the surface out. Add the landing gear, the missiles and the pylons only after the camouflage is finished.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
