1:32 Spitfire LF Mk.IXE in Post-War Czechoslovak AF

Spitfire LF Mk.IXE - postwar Czechoslovak Air Force 1:32

A sheet of waterslide decals from DK Decals lets you build a model of the Supermarine Spitfire LF Mk.IXE fighter in the colors and markings of the postwar Czechoslovak Air Force in the large 1:32 scale. The sheet offers several particular machines with their national insignia and tactical numbers from the years after the Second World War.

The real subject

Spitfire Mk.IXE fighters reached Czechoslovakia after 1945 and served with fighter squadrons until other hardware replaced them. It was the proven late version of the legendary British fighter with the e-type wing and the powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine.

Use and tips

• transfer the decals onto a smooth, glossy varnished base
• use gloss varnish under the decals and over them, then knock the surface back to matte
• with a decal softener the decals settle over the surface relief better
• suitable for models of the Spitfire Mk.IXE in 1:32 scale

Who the set is for

Modelers interested in the postwar history of the Czechoslovak Air Force will appreciate it, as will collectors who want their Spitfire to stand apart from British and other versions.

This is a decal sheet, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
