American airborne infantry of the Second World War in 1:32 scale - 1:32 US WWII Paratroopers from MARS Model. The plastic figures are supplied without paint.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures from the Ukrainian brand MARS Model devoted to the airborne units of the United States. The 1:32 scale is among the most collected for historical figures and matches models of vehicles of the same size. The castings come without paint, ready for a coat of primer.
American airborne divisions were committed as the first wave ahead of the main attack: a jump at night, assembly in the dark, seizing bridges and crossroads and holding the position until the ground forces arrived. They therefore carried more ammunition and less comfort than the regular infantry. Their equipment was striking - a jump smock and trousers with roomy pockets, tall lace-up boots, a helmet with a modified chin strap. Their commitment in Normandy and in the operation in the Netherlands in the fall of 1944 made them one of the most popular modeling subjects of all.
Do not leave the olive green base flat; by layering lighter tones on the raised areas the cloth gains volume. First wash the castings and clean up the mold seams with a scalpel. Better to dry fit the parts on a sprue offcut first; this kind of plastic holds more firmly with super glue. Keep the straps and the webbing in a different shade from the uniform, and leave the dusting until the very end, so that it does not swallow the detail of the faces.
The castings are bare. Paints and glue have to be bought separately.
