The AN/AAR-47 is an American warning system for an approaching missile. The sensors watch the surroundings of the machine and alert the crew at the moment of threat, usually in conjunction with countermeasure dispensers. They are spread around the fuselage so that together they cover as much of the sky around the aircraft as possible. They are carried above all by helicopters and transport machines, that is by aircraft that move low and slowly and are the most vulnerable to man-portable anti-aircraft weapons.
The set offers parts for rendering these sensors in 1:35 scale. The note about all kits means that they are not tied to a single model: you place them according to the documentation for the machine you are building. On a finished model it is a small thing, but one that immediately reveals a more recent state of the machine and adds a recognizable detail to an otherwise smooth fuselage.
The surface must be smooth, clean and degreased, otherwise the part will not seat. Mark the position in advance from your references, because once the part is laid down it is hard to move. The way the parts are applied differs from one range to another, so follow the instructions from the manufacturer supplied with the set before you start. Once the part is in place, leave it undisturbed long enough and only then carry on working on the model.
