An injection-molded plastic kit of the articulated armored personnel carrier BV 206S Bandvagn, in 1:35 scale from Takom. Its key strength is the well-worked interior of both units, so the main hatch can be built open to reveal the inside. The box holds plastic parts, one-piece tracks and markings for several versions.
The BV 206S is a tracked articulated off-road vehicle made up of two units joined by a steering unit; the armored version serves as an infantry carrier. The front unit carries the crew and a few soldiers, the rear one a further group of passengers. The design, with its low ground pressure, copes with snow, mud and water obstacles, and the machine is used by a number of European armies. The articulated steering gives it exceptional cross-country mobility.
Because this is an interior kit, first paint and assemble the inside of both units, and only then close up the hulls, since once they are closed you cannot reach the details. Glue the plastic with liquid cement. Apply a primer, spray the interior in light shades and pick it out with washes. Finish the exterior with camouflage, and create snow or mud on the running gear with pigments and effects. It pays to leave the hatch open for a view inside.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
