A colored printed interior from Quinta Studio for the Ford G917T and V3000S trucks in 1:35 scale. The elements of the QD line are dipped briefly in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Ford G917T trucks and their later form, the V3000S, were among the widespread German medium-payload vehicles of the Second World War. The cab is usually well visible on a model, especially when you build the vehicle with the doors open or as part of a diorama.
Interior elements finished in color with a raised surface, printed and carried on decal paper. The instrument panel, the upholstery, the seats and the small details of the cab are already colored and shaded, so the slow work of picking out details with a brush falls away.
The elements of the QD line are applied like a decal. Cut the part from the sheet, leave it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own; it holds dependably on gloss varnish, so give the cab a coat of gloss varnish such as Future or Tamiya X-22 after painting. On a busy part a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal setter, as they would attack the printed resin.
It will be appreciated by a modeler who wants the cab finished quickly and in a consistent color scheme. The work calls for tweezers, a sharp blade and a steady hand, but otherwise it is quicker than painting the individual details by hand.
The set is an accessory to a kit in 1:35 scale. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
