Torn.Fu.b1 (1:35) is a 3D-printed German portable radio set from the brand Firma49 for command posts and signalers on a diorama. Crisp knobs and dials that a kit does not have.
Responsibility details are not available.
A stand-alone accessory for a diorama, not a model kit. Firma49 (a Czech brand) makes it by high-resolution SLA 3D printing, so even the knobs and dials come out that an ordinary plastic kit cannot manage. The real subject is the German portable radio set Torn.Fu.b1 in the figure scale of 1:35. A radio operator with his set is a rewarding scene: it brings a command post and a signaler at the front to life.
Torn.Fu.b1 is short for Tornister Funkgerät b1, a portable (pack-carried) radio set of the German army of the Second World War, introduced in the 1930s. The word Tornister means pack: the set was carried on the back and in the field it was operated by a pair of men, one carrying the transmitter with the receiver and the other the battery section with the accessories. It was part of the standard signals equipment of infantry divisions.
Cut the radio set carefully from the print supports, clean it up with respiratory protection and glue it on with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Crisp details such as the knobs and the dials come out once a base has been sprayed and gently emphasized, with a wash running into the recesses as the obvious choice. The small parts are fragile.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and unmounted, as a 3D-printed resin part. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
