A plastic kit of the American off-road vehicle from Italeri's range. The M1036 configuration is the combat version of the vehicle commonly called the Humvee, carrying a launch system for TOW anti-tank guided missiles.
The vehicle replaced older jeeps and light trucks in the US Army and became a universal chassis for dozens of roles, from an ambulance to a weapons carrier. It is distinguished by a wide track, a low silhouette, and all-wheel drive. The TOW-equipped variant pairs a roof-mounted mount with a set of guided missiles, so the vehicle could accompany units in the field and free itself if it got stuck. Vehicles of this family appeared in practically every American operation from the late 1980s onward.
Finish and paint the interior and running gear first, and only then close up the body, since afterward you can barely reach inside. Desert and green army shades gain depth when a dark wash is dragged over them and the edges are lightened with dry-brushing. Dust pigments on the fenders and underside help settle the vehicle into its surroundings.
