An injection-molded plastic kit of the captured armored scout car in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. The real subject is the British Daimler Dingo Mk.I, which the German army took into its own inventory after capture under the designation leichter Panzerkampfwagen Mk.I 202(e). According to the manufacturer the box contains the car itself, three figures of German crew, photo-etched parts, clear plastic and decals for two German marking options. The model has a well worked-out interior and a broken-up chassis.
The Daimler Dingo was a fast British four-wheel drive (4x4) armored scout and liaison car of the Second World War. It was notable for its low silhouette, all-wheel drive and good cross-country mobility, which made it suitable for reconnaissance and courier work. Captured cars were commonly used by the German side as well, which recorded their foreign origin in the designation (the letter e stood for British origin). It was a genuinely useful and widely used light type.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the running gear and the interior before you close the hull, because after assembly there is no access to them. Bond the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting and put the paints on with an airbrush. For weathering a captured car, washes in the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects are useful; overpainting and improvised German markings look convincing on captured equipment.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
