An injection-molded plastic kit of the British light tracked carrier and artillery tractor Loyd Carrier No.2 Mk.II in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Bronco. It is a new tooling with rich detail; according to the manufacturer the package contains, besides the plastic parts, photo-etched metal, individual track links and decals for several national markings. The vehicle is rendered in the variant used as a tractor for the 6-pounder anti-tank gun.
The Loyd Carrier was a British light tracked carrier of the Second World War period built in large numbers. It served as a reconnaissance vehicle, a troop carrier and above all as a tractor for light guns, ammunition and gun crews. It was powered by a Ford V8 side-valve engine and the vehicle was marked by a simple open body and reliable tracked running gear. In service with a number of armies it lasted long after the end of the war.
Work with liquid cement for plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with super glue. Give attention to the running gear and the engine, and finish and paint the interior of the body before it is closed up. Assemble and fit the individual track links patiently. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush; for the patina use washes and pigments for the mud and dust effects typical of a field tractor.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
