An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M109A2 self-propelled howitzer in 1:35 scale from Kinetic. The set contains parts for assembling the tracked chassis and the rotating turret, a well-worked breech and a barrel with a choice of muzzle and front armor. Link-and-length tracks and a decal sheet are included as well. The model is sold unassembled and unpainted.
The M109 is an American 155 mm self-propelled howitzer on a tracked chassis which has formed the backbone of the artillery of a number of armies since the 1960s. The M109A2 version brought the longer M185 barrel, a reworked rear ammunition magazine and further design changes. The machine combines the firepower of a conventional howitzer with the mobility of a tracked vehicle.
We recommend assembling and test-fitting the running gear before closing the hull. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic, apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. The tracks and the bottom of the hull reward washes and pigments, with which you create dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
