The kit contains easy-to-build tracks and decal options for several versions; take the exact contents from the enclosed instructions.
The M1 Abrams is an American third-generation main battle tank that forms the backbone of the armored units of the United States Army and Marine Corps. It entered service at the beginning of the 1980s as a replacement for the older M60. It is marked by heavy armor and an unusual powerplant: instead of a conventional diesel it is driven by a multifuel gas turbine. The M1A1 version received a more powerful 120 mm smoothbore gun and further improvements over the first series.
Assemble and clean up the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull; the easy-to-build tracks speed this stage up. Use thin cement on the plastic, sand the joints after filling and apply a primer. Modern American tanks are normally painted in a uniform sand or green-gray color; depth comes from fine washes in the recesses, edge highlighting with a dry brush and discreet dust pigments on the running gear. The optics and the lights come to life with a gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
