An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M36B1 Gun Motor Carriage tank destroyer in 1:35 scale from Academy. The model is supplied unassembled and is meant to be glued and painted. Depending on the edition, besides the plastic parts the set holds additional detail and markings for more than one vehicle.
The M36 was an American tank destroyer of the Second World War armed with a ninety-millimeter gun in an open rotating turret, which could face even the heavy German tanks. The M36B1 version came about by setting that turret on the hull of the M4 Sherman medium tank, so that unlike the basic M36 it had a fully armored hull with two machine guns at the front.
Assemble the running gear and the interior of the open turret before you close it. Glue the plastic with thin cement, apply primer and work the base shade and the markings with an airbrush. The open turret will stand out once the detail has been brought out with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
