Workable tracks in 1:35 scale for models of the M50 and M51 Super Sherman, made by 3D printing. The links are joined one by one.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M50 and M51, nicknamed Super Sherman, are Israeli conversions of the American Sherman. The older hulls received a heavier gun of French origin and a reworked turret, so the machines served long after the Second World War. The running gear stayed a visible part of the silhouette, and it is the tracks that therefore catch the eye first on a finished model.
The set holds tracks in 1:35 scale made by 3D printing. Workable means that the links are joined one by one and the finished track stays flexible: it can sag naturally between the road wheels and wrap around the drive sprocket without your having to shape it with heat. The number of links and the way they are joined are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Print supports remain on the parts. Cut them off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest carefully so that the shape of the link is not damaged. The parts are not polystyrene and ordinary cement for polystyrene has no effect on them, so reach for super glue. Wash and degrease them before painting. Fit the assembled track dry first, check the sag and only then fix it if you wish; it is more comfortable to paint it separately and to fit it on the model once the running gear has been painted.
For modelers who are not satisfied with the tracks supplied with the kit and who want a more faithful sag. Working with individual links calls for patience and tweezers. The model, glue and paints are not included, unless stated otherwise.
