Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal detail part from the Polish brand MASTER, intended to replace the pitot tube on a plastic kit of the British English Electric Canberra jet bomber in 1:72 scale. The accessory is not a model but a single precisely machined part. The difference from a plastic molding is apparent at once: metal holds a slender diameter along its whole length, the tip is cleanly shaped and the part neither bends nor breaks, which with so small an element in a small scale is the main benefit.
The Canberra was a British twin-engine jet bomber that first flew at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s and became one of the longest-used aircraft of its category. Besides the bombing role it made its name above all in reconnaissance versions, where a high ceiling and long range secured it a long career with a range of air forces. It was also built under license and in many variants, which differed in the nose, the armament and the equipment.
Cut the plastic part off and level the surface, then drill a hole matching the diameter of the pin with a micro drill. Dry-fit the part and check the angle against the drawing in the building instructions. Glue with super glue in small doses; any excess leaves a white film on metal. Before painting, degrease the metal and go over it with primer, and fit the tube as the last step of the build.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
