Kit of the heavy military M915 tractor in 1:35 scale. A road vehicle derived from a civilian design, which differs in build and shape from ordinary off-road equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the M915 truck in 1:35 scale, the ratio in which most models of military vehicles and figures are built. The model is assembled from individual parts and painted separately, so you choose both the shade and the degree of wear. At 1:35 it is a sizable piece that takes up more room in a display case than a tank of the same scale.
The M915 is a heavy semitrailer tractor introduced in the US Army for long-distance transport on paved roads. It was not created as an off-road vehicle but derives from a civilian line-haul tractor design, which you can see at first glance: next to angular off-road vehicles it looks more like an ordinary truck in olive drab. Vehicles of this kind make up an inconspicuous but indispensable part of supply: they move materiel over long distances.
Follow the enclosed instructions and try the subassemblies dry first, because on a truck an inaccuracy in the frame shows up on the stance of all the wheels at once. Paint the chassis and the cab separately, while they are still easy to reach. A single-color military finish looks flat over a large area, so liven it up by lightening the horizontal surfaces slightly and highlighting the edges. Do not forget the dust around the wheels and on the fenders.
The model suits a collector of military vehicles as well as builders of scenes meant to show the rear echelon and transport, not just the front line. The build is that of an ordinary vehicle kit, so it suits a modeler with basic experience.
Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
