The conversion set 1:35 MBT Ariete M. A. Babilonia Early Version modifies a model of the Italian C1 Ariete tank into the form in which the vehicles served on the Antica Babilonia mission in Iraq.

The package contains parts in cast resin for converting a plastic model of the C1 Ariete main battle tank. It captures the early form of the equipment with which the Italian units went into the operation. The later state is covered by a separate follow-up package from the same brand.
The C1 Ariete is a main battle tank developed in Italy in the 1990s, with a 120 mm smoothbore gun and composite armor. The name Ariete means battering ram. The Italian contingent operated in southern Iraq from 2003 under the heading of the Antica Babilonia mission, that is Ancient Babylon, with a base in the area of the town of Nasiriyah. There the equipment received additional fittings for the desert and urban environment and looked noticeably different from the way it did on European exercises.
The conversion assumes that the plastic base is not finished yet, so go through the contents before you start joining the hull. Desert shades have little contrast, so work with stronger shading of the gaps and with fine dust in the lower part of the vehicle. Rinse the castings before painting and apply a primer.
