The MH-60S, MH-60R and HH-60H versions belong to the newer variants of the H-60 helicopter family. They are used by the US Navy and differ from each other above all in the equipment for the task, from support over a ship to search and rescue. The differences are often in small features on the outer surface, which a modeler notices before anything else.
The package holds color elements for the exterior of the model in 1:35 scale. They add details to the fuselage surfaces that would be slow and uncertain to paint by hand, and they are laid straight onto the kit parts, so the building sequence in the instructions stays the same. In shape the set follows the kits of Kitty Hawk. The color is already there, so masking small areas and mixing shades over several attempts are both done away with.
The way the elements are applied differs between the individual Quinta lines, so follow the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the set before you start. Have the surface of the model finished in advance: sprayed, dry and preferably coated with gloss varnish so that it is not porous. Seat the elements one at a time with tweezers, adjust the pressure with a cotton bud and watch that no air is trapped underneath.
It suits modelers who are building a large helicopter for a display case and want it to hold up close to. The package contains the listed elements only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
