A set of pre-painted photo-etched seat belts from the Czech maker Eduard for the pilots and gunners of the MH-60L helicopter in 1:35 scale. It is an upgrade accessory, not a kit. The belts are made of thin etched steel sheet (STEEL) with a color print that imitates the webbing, the fittings and the buckles faithfully, with no further painting needed.
The STEEL range uses steel sheet instead of brass. Steel is more flexible and holds its shape better after bending, so the belts look naturally draped over the seats. The color print captures the shade of the webbing as well as of the metal parts, which makes the cockpit look realistic the moment they are installed. The set contains belts for the pilot seats as well as for the door gunner positions.
Separate the belts carefully from the fret, shape them to the seat and glue them with a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Steel takes fine reshaping, so that the webbing looks loose and natural. The color print only needs toning down with a light matte varnish if you wish.
This is a detail accessory for a plastic model, not a kit in its own right. The glue and the base model are not included in the package.
