An add-on detail set, not a model in its own right. The set brings replacement tracks cast in resin for the Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger II heavy tank, known as the King Tiger, in 1:35 scale. These are the standard combat tracks, replacing the tracks from the plastic kit.
The Tiger II was the heaviest German tank put into service in the Second World War. It combined steeply sloped armor with a long 88 mm gun, which gave it great firepower superiority on the battlefield. Wide combat tracks were part of the equipment for use in the field and are a conspicuous feature of its massive running gear.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Given the weight of the real subject, the tracks come out well with carefully worked sag and with weathering from washes and pigments.
The set holds replacement tracks only. The base model, glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
