Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz.251/3 Ausf.C armored half-track carrier in 1:35 scale from AFV Club. It is the signals (radio) variant of the vehicle, fitted with additional radio sets for command work. The model contains photo-etched parts, decals and rich radio equipment including several sets of radios and antennas.
The Sd.Kfz.251 was the standard German medium armored half-track carrier of the Second World War, developed by Hanomag from an unarmored tractor. The 251/3 version served as a signals and command vehicle (mittlerer Funkpanzerwagen), fitted with additional radio sets and various types of antenna. The Ausf.C form is notable for the characteristic front of the hull with single-piece frontal armor and side plates over the engine compartment. These vehicles provided the link between staffs and combat units.
Work up and paint the interior of the hull with its radio equipment before closing the sides. Bend the photo-etched antennas and brackets carefully. Spray the base with a primer, then choose German shades according to the period (gray, dark yellow with camouflage). Bring out the engraving with washes and finally add dust and mud pigments on the running gear and the tracks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
