An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Stryker wheeled armored vehicle in the M1132 Engineer Squad Vehicle version from AFV Club. The model is fitted with a movable surface mine plow that folds in the same way as on the real vehicle, with lane marking dispensers, with a remote controlled weapon station offering a choice of a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun or a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher, and with photo-etched parts.
The Stryker is an American eight-wheeled (8x8) armored vehicle introduced at the turn of the millennium and fielded in a number of specialized versions. The M1132 engineer version serves for mine clearing and terrain reconnaissance - it carries a surface mine plow and a system for marking a safe lane, and with them it opens safe corridors for advancing units.
Assemble and paint the chassis and the running gear before you attach the plow and the superstructure. The rubber tires have a faithful tread pattern - once painted, weather them with dust pigments. It is best to finish the movable plow separately and fit it only at the end. A restrained patina suits a modern vehicle: fine dust effects and a light emphasis on the panels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
