Tow hooks are among the first things that catch the eye on a tank at close range. They sit on the bow and at the rear of the hull; on the real machines a tow cable was hooked over them and during recovery the whole weight of the vehicle bore on them. That is exactly why they tend to be massive and shaped on the real subject, whereas in a kit the same place is often only suggested in thick plastic.
The set offers separate hooks in 1:35 scale as replacement parts. In shape they match German armored vehicles, and you will fit them on models where you want this detail crisper than the kit alone allows.
Cut away surplus material with a sharp blade a short distance from the part and sand the remainder. Cut off the original part from the kit only once you have the replacement ready, and level the surface. Choose the glue according to the material: anything that is not polystyrene holds with cyanoacrylate glue. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. The hooks stand out when you pick them out finely after spraying the base color and add traces of worn paint, because the crew habitually touched them.
The set is for modelers who build German vehicles and want the details of the hull to stand up to a close look. The package contains only the add-on parts; the model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
