Voyager Model 1:35 King Tiger (Porsche turret) - engine deck grilles is a photo-etched set of mesh grilles for a faithful rendering of the cooling openings on the engine deck of the Tiger II tank. It fits the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set of fine brass parts intended to replace the cooling grilles on the engine deck of a Tiger II (King Tiger) heavy tank model with the Porsche turret, in 1:35 scale. The etched mesh replaces the solid plastic grilles with a thin see-through structure that faithfully imitates the real vehicle.
The target kit is the Tamiya one, and it is bought separately.
The Tiger II, nicknamed King Tiger or Königstiger, was a German heavy tank from the end of the Second World War with massive armor and a long 88mm gun. The first machines built carried a turret with a rounded front, historically associated with the Porsche design, before the later turret with a flat front took its place.
The photo-etched parts are separated from the fret, shaped in a bending tool and glued with super glue. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with primer. The grilles come out well after a wash and pigments that emphasize their depth.
This is a detail accessory, not a vehicle model. The basic plastic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
