A set of 48 Kriegsmarine sailor figures in 1:350 scale from Spalah. 3D-printed resin, supplied unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds figures of Kriegsmarine sailors in 1:350 scale. The box states 48 figures and 3D printing as the technology. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Spalah. On large ship models, populating the deck is the quickest route to a convincing impression, because the human figure is the only clue by which the viewer judges the size of the vessel. An empty deck, by contrast, makes even a well-built model look smaller. The figures are supplied unpainted.
The crew of a warship moves about the deck in clearly distinct roles: gun crews at the mounts, lookouts on the bridge and the superstructure, sailors at the mooring gear fore and aft. The Kriegsmarine had its own style of uniform, working and walking-out dress alike, with characteristic caps. In 1:350 scale it is not about individual faces but about correct placement and posture.
Wash the print resin residue off the figures and cut the print supports away carefully; at this scale the figures are very small. Work with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint in batches: a base coat on all of them first, then the uniforms and finally the faces with the finest brush. Lay out their placement on the deck dry beforehand.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
