This 3D printed resin accessory in 1:48 scale reproduces the American AN/ALQ-119 external electronic warfare jamming pod in the medium length variant. It is not an aircraft model but a separate carried unit that you hang under the wing or fuselage of a model. Thanks to 3D printing it has a fine surface and accurate shapes.
The AN/ALQ-119 is an American electronic countermeasures (ECM) pod used for jamming enemy radars. It was carried by, among others, the A-7, A-10, F-4, F-16, F-111 and F-105 and was made in several length forms.
Wash the part gently, separate it carefully from the supporting block with a sharp knife or a fine saw and bond it with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Sand with respiratory protection. Apply a primer before painting; the surface and the stencils come out well after airbrushing and fine emphasis.
It is supplied unassembled and unpainted as an accessory. The aircraft model, glue and paints are not included, unless stated otherwise.
