This set is NOT an airplane model but a 3D-printed accessory for a plastic kit of the Republic F-105 Thunderchief fighter-bomber in 1:48 scale. It contains the centerline auxiliary fuel tank of 650 gallons together with the pylon for hanging it under the fuselage. The set is intended for experienced modelers.
The 650-gallon centerline tank was part of the usual fit of the Thunderchief on long-range missions over Vietnam. Accurate 3D printing captures the shape of the tank and the details of the pylon and the mounting more faithfully than simplified plastic parts, and it completes the typical silhouette of the aircraft with its external stores.
Wash any print resin residue off the parts, cut off the print supports and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand down the print marks with your airways protected. Check the fit of the pylon on the fuselage of your particular kit before gluing.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
