This item is not a model of an aircraft but a detailed cockpit set from Reskit, printed in resin by 3D printing. It is intended to replace the cockpit in the kit of the French fighter Dassault Rafale C in 1:48 scale from Revell or from Academy. In the Detailed version the instrument panels are worked up into fine relief and ready for hand painting — as distinct from the Basic edition, where the panels are handled by pre-printed color 3D decals.

What the set adds

The cockpit is one of the most closely watched places on a finished model. The Detailed edition gives the modeler full control over the coloring of the dials and the panels and repays careful work with the maximum of final detail. The resin part replaces the production cockpit tub with finer relief.

Building tips

• Wash the parts in warm water with detergent and let them dry.
• Cut the print supports off with a sharp knife and dry-fit the part into the fuselage.
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate); paint the panels by hand and bring the detail out with a wash.
• Protect your airways when sanding resin and keep the room ventilated.
