1:48 F-14D pre-cut painting masks from Reskit are cut for the F-14D kit from Tamiya.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Reskit holds pre-cut painting masks for an F-14D model in 1:48 scale and is cut for the kit from Tamiya. The manufacturer also makes a version for the AMK kit under the same name; the two sets differ precisely in the target model, so choose by the box you have at home. It is not a kit but an aid for painting.
The F-14D is the final production version of the carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing, originally meant for long-range defense of a naval force. The two-seat cockpit is covered by a large transparent canopy, which on a model forms the dominant glazed area and sets the final impression of the whole build.
Before you start masking, look at the shapes on the sheet and compare them with the parts in the kit; that way you will see which belong on the outer frames and which on the smaller windows. Degrease the glazing and let it dry completely. Set the masks in place with tweezers and press them down from the center toward the edges. When painting it helps to lay a thin coat of the shade that should be visible on the frames from the inside first, and only then to spray the outer camouflage. Time the lifting for when the paint has set; with a fully cured coat the edge peels off easily along with the mask.
The set is an accessory to a kit, not a standalone model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
