Replacement exhaust grilles for the heat exchanger of the air conditioning system for the model of the F-14 Tomcat in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-14 Tomcat is an American carrier fighter aircraft with a variable-geometry wing and a crew of two. The air conditioning system on board treats the air for the cockpit and for the equipment of the aircraft and carries the surplus heat out through vents covered by a fine grille. On the real machine it is an inconspicuous detail, but on a model it belongs among the places everyone looks at from close up.
A grille created together with the part of the fuselage tends to be merely suggested and its ribs run into one another. The replacement part has finer and deeper relief, so that after painting and a darker glaze it looks like a real grille, not like an impression of the shape. The set is intended for the F-14 Tomcat in 1:72 scale and changes a single place on the model, which makes it a simple way to move a build a step further.
Remove the original shape from the kit according to the instructions and level the surface, so that the replacement part seats without a gap. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Try the seating dry and only then glue. Wash and degrease the part before painting; the fine relief stands out when the paint is applied thinly and the grille is then brought out with a darker glaze.
Replacement parts of the grilles are supplied. Paints, glue and abrasive material are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
