The set from Quinta Studio brings colored 3D-printed interior decals on decal paper. They are applied with water like ordinary decals, while carrying relief and pre-printed color, so that the cab and the instruments of the vehicle gain depth and a realistic look with no painting. It is not a model but an accessory for models of the STZ-5 tractor with the BM-13 rocket launcher in 1:35 scale. In its dimensions it is based on the Zvezda kit.
The STZ-5 was a Soviet tracked artillery tractor; coupled with the BM-13 rocket launcher it made up one of the forms of the legendary Katyusha of the Second World War. BM-13 salvo launchers were put into service from 1941 and became famous for their destructive area fire. The cab of the tractor is fairly cramped, and a well drawn interior stands out all the more for it.
Clean and degrease the surface, dip the decal briefly in water, slide it into place and press it gently down, then draw the surplus water off. Keep the water clean and do not mix decal softener into it, as it would attack the printed resin. It comes into its own best on a build with the cab left open.
This is an accessory, not a model. The Zvezda base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
