A resin, 3D printed supplementary set for experienced modelers. It is not an aircraft model but a pair of engine exhaust nozzles in the fully open position for the kit of the F-14D Tomcat carrier fighter from Tamiya in 1:48 scale.
It replaces the simplified plastic nozzles with detailed 3D printing that renders the petals and the internal structure faithfully. The open position of the nozzles matches a machine standing on the ground and markedly raises the realism of the tail of a model.
Wash the parts free of uncured print resin residue, separate them from the print supports and clean them up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue and sand with your airways protected. It pays to paint the nozzles separately in metallic shades and to blacken them before final assembly.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
