The maker also makes the same set in a smaller scale; this item is the version for 1:48.
The F.M.A. IA-58 Pucará is an Argentine twin-engine turboprop aircraft with fixed high-lift devices, a tandem cockpit and nose landing gear. It was designed for operations from short and unpaved surfaces, which the robust landing gear with fairly large wheels and long shock absorber travel corresponds to. The IA-58A version was the basic production standard. It is precisely the landing gear that belongs among the most exposed places on a model, because the aircraft stands high and the wheels are clearly visible.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, cut the casting blocks off at the point where they sit on the ground and level the surface by wet sanding. Apply a thin primer. Separate the tire and the rim by masking: first spray the whole wheel in the shade of the tire, then cover the rubber with a circular mask and spray the rim. Given the operations from grass and dusty surfaces, a restrained dusting with pigment on the sidewalls and in the grooves of the tread suits this subject. It is fitted with superglue.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
