This is not a model of an aircraft but a metal detail accessory for a kit of the German Fw 190 A-6 fighter in 1:48 scale. The set contains the muzzles of the MG 17 machine guns, turned barrels and fairings for the MG 151 cannons and a pitot tube. The metal parts have a faithful muzzle and thin walls that injection-molded plastic cannot achieve.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was a German fighter of the Second World War, valued for its ruggedness and its heavy armament. The A-6 version carried a pair of MG 17 machine guns above the engine and four 20 mm MG 151 cannons in the wings, which made it an effective weapons platform.
You cut off the plastic barrels, fairings and pitot tube and replace them with the metal parts, ideally into pre-drilled holes. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Fit the pitot tube only after the clear coat, so that it does not get bent. Degrease the metal before painting and lay the paint on thinly.
The accessory needs a base kit; glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
