A set of two resin, 3D-printed replicas of the GBU-31 JDAM guided bomb in the thermally protected version of the US Navy, in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but armament for completing the stores of a finished kit. The manufacturer is the Ukrainian company Reskit.
The GBU-31 JDAM is a guided bomb of the 2000 pound weight class with GPS/INS guidance. The naval version has thermal protection suited to operation on the decks of ships and was carried among others by the F/A-18E/F and the F-35B. It allows precision strikes on ground targets.
Wash the residue of uncured resin off the parts, cut the supports off and clean them up by sanding, with respiratory protection. Glue resin with cyanoacrylate glue, treat the surfaces with a primer first and then spray them according to the chosen scheme.
The set contains the resin parts only; paints, glue and the carrier model are not included in the package.
